Much fruit for little effort
by Pastor Mark, 27 February 2005

Rural churches are springing up quickly as the Gospel is preached. Many of these dirt poor downtroddens do not have the money to build a church.

For as little as $2500 a very suitable church can be constructed by the church members and house upwards of 100 members. Would you please consider funding one or more of these churches? This amount is less than a very used car. It is the price of one top of the line computer. It is easily funded by 5 people with $500. Won’t you please gather five people in your office or church to fund this? You may safely wire the money to them directly or through our church in California.

Myself and Pastor Ernie Poncet recently visited South India. We visited over 35 churches of the network of 200 we are involved in. We have solid and credible pastoral partners in India. www.cfdministries.org

South India is a society where the predominant religion is Hindu. Only three percent are counted to be Christians. The government leaders are Hindu and in fact have temples inside their government buildings. Throughout the city streets and along their rivers they have large and small idols housed in varying sizes of structures.  The statues are literally everywhere. They are generally very elaborate. An idol maker can have a steady living.

There is much poverty and need within the lowest class of downtrodden peoples. These are generally the Christians. The downtrodden caste of  people readily embrace Christianity. This mission field is as ripe as one can be. The people are ready to hear about Jesus. They are the warmest, most hospitable people you will encounter. We are excited to see what adventure will be around the next corner.

The fruit of your investment will result in dozens, if not hundreds, of new salvations. This is an eternal reward that is hard to pass up.

In the villages in and around Rajamundry, South India there is a tiny church of less than 100 people. The members are the bottom class and are poor.
Recently, their church was burned down by neighboring Muslims. They have struggled to rebuild and only have the windows, door, and a bathroom to finish. This will cost $600.

Would you consider donating towards this? This is a vibrant and growing church and is reaching many people with the Gospel for the first time.
